Ladywell Fields User Group sets up GoFundMe page as it seeks donations to help fund its work

The Ladywell Fields User Group, sometimes known as the Friends of Ladywell Fields, is raising funds so that it can continue to represent park users in an effective way and can organise and publicise its well attended volunteer sessions.

LFUG is a formally-constituted group with a constitution, AGMs and elected officers and represents the interests of all park users in discussions with the council, the parks management contractor (currently Glendale) and other statutory and non-statutory organisations.

It has more than 2,500 followers on Facebook, well-publicised quarterly public meetings and organises regular volunteer sessions – but it does not levy any membership fee.

The user group now needs to raise money so that it can carry on its work representing all park users. It has set up a GoFundMe page and is seeking donations, however modest.
