Memories of the Playtower: remember what it was like to use the building? Come and share your stories

As part of Brockley Max, the community festival celebrating its 25th year, the Ladywell Society will be hosting a film night on the Playtower at St Mary’s Church on Saturday June 6 from 7-9pm.

It will be screening ‘Memories of Ladywell Baths‘. As well as showing the film, the society is keen to discuss what this iconic building means for the local community.

To this end, we would like to invite anyone with particular memories or stories relating to the building to come and share them with us. Contact playtowerladywell@gmail.com

The Ladywell Society has been promoting and supporting Ladywell since it was first founded in 1984.

We’re currently working to secure the futue of the Playtower, the Grade II listed landmark, a Victorian bath house, in urgent need of repair.
