The Lewisham Local History Society holds history talks once a month and on November 27 the society will be hearing about the history of Algernon Road, Ladywell.

The talk is by local resident Andrew Dawson, who will share the history and changing social character of the street. It starts at 7.30pm, at Jubilee Cricket Ground, Catford, and is free to members. The society asks for a small donation of £1 for non-members.
