Community funding totalling almost £63,000 will be the main item on the agenda at the Ladywell Assembly meeting on Thursday 4 November, from 7pm to 9pm at  St Andrews Centre, Brockley Road, London SE4 2SA.

The funding comes from the Neighbourhood Council Infrastructure Levy and can be spent on projects that will benefit residents of the ward.

The assembly meeting will include a workshop, providing information and support that will help residents develop project ideas.  (See below for council workshops on NCIL)

Applications for funding are open to residents of Ladywell ward, including Ward Councillors, Tenant & Residents’ Associations, amenities group, business and community groups made up of residents.

The workshop discuss the ward’s NCIL priorities agreed for Ladywell, funding processes and regulations, examples of project ideas, collaboration and partnership applications and what makes a good project bid.

Council officers and ward councillors will be on hand to provide answers to any questions you may have about the NCIL fund.

Other items on the agenda will include:

Police Safer Neighbourhood Team update – Representatives from your local neighbourhood police will be at this meeting to update you on their activities in recent months and also raise any issues and concerns you may have with them.

Restoration of the old Ravensbourne Arms Pub site – Sisters Midnight Records are saving an abandoned pub on Lewisham High Street for the benefit of Lewisham DIY music community. Come and hear about their plans to create Lewisham’s first Community owned live music pub.

Ladywell Playtower update – A briefing will be provided at the meeting on where we are on plans to refurbish this iconic building.

The Assembly is an open meeting for the community where you and other residents can work together with your local councillors, the police, local organisations and the wider community to shape the future of the ward and make Ladywell a better place to live, work and learn.

Anyone who lives, works and studies in Ladywell is invited to attend. You are a part of that community, so come along, have your say and get involved!
