Help shape the future of Brockley Max arts festival and become a volunteer on the organising team

by Tony October 5, 2021
October 5, 2021

Brockley Max arts festival has been going since 2001 and over the years it has gone from strength to strength, with the number and variety of free events increasing each year. The festival is run by a team of volunteers who are passionate about our local community and the arts.

Brockley Max is seeking more board and committee members who can bring new ideas, energy and enthusiasm to the festival and share in its success.

By joining our organising team, you could develop new skills, make new friends and widen your experience while having lots of fun!

Being part of the Brockley Max team is sometimes challenging but mostly rewarding and you’ll really feel like you’re making a difference in our community.

Volunteer Jane says: “Five years ago the opportunity arose to get involved in the organisation of this great community festival and I grabbed it and have not looked back since!

“At the end of the festival I feel very proud that I’ve helped contribute to the smooth running of Brockley Max. I wouldn’t hesitate to say come and join us!”

We’re especially looking for people who can contribute time and/or expertise in the following areas:

  • Press and publicity
  • Fundraising
  • Event management & programming
  • Sponsorship & advertising

You can find out more here: https://brockleymax.co.uk/volunteer-2021/

Volunteer Helen says: “Helping to organise Brockley Max is incredibly rewarding and brilliant fun.  I have got to know great people from all walks of life who come together to help make this community so vibrant and special.

” I’ve developed new skills, learnt about what goes into organising a major event and seen loads of fantastic art and music along the way.  I’d highly recommend this opportunity – there is a role to suit everyone!”

Even if you don’t have experience with the above, but would still like to become part of a team which creates positive change in our neighbourhood, please get in touch with moira@brockleymax.co.uk to chat through how you’d like to be involved.
