Traffic alert: resurfacing work on Ladywell Road and Brockley Grove to start on June 10

Traffic alert! Ladywell is about to go through another few days of congestion and chaos. Lewisham council is planning to resurface sections of Ladywell Road and Brockley Grove in early June.

The council hopes that carrying out the works during the Covid 19 lockdown will minimise disruption while traffic levels are lower.

The resurfacing work will be carried out between 7.00pm and 5.30am over three nights from June 10.

If the work is delayed for any reason the council says “appropriate site notification will be displayed” informing people of the expected completion date.

The use of heavy equipment will mean parking is difficult along the road while the work is being carried out. The council asks  that people park elsewhere if possible.

Ladywell Road will be resurfaced between Lewisham High Street and Wearside Road on Wednesday June 10.

Ladywell road and Brockley Grove will be resurfaced between Adelaide Avenue and Amyruth Road from Thursday June 11.

Anyone with a disabled parking bay or any other concerns should contact Customer Services on 0208 314 2095.
