Plans for the site also propose a two storey space for two commercial units as well as cycle and refuse storage.
Architects for the developers – Urbanist Architecture – say the eight private homes (seven three bedroom and one four bedroom) will help meet the demand for family sized homes in the borough and ease the housing shortage.
They say the proposal will develop an underutilised site and improve the residential character of the local area.
The site will be landscaped, with a “green avenue” between the new houses. The aim, say the architects, is to improve the sense of community. The development will also include a residents play area for children.
