Council offers advice and support to parents with children starting primary school in 2023

Lewisham Council is offering friendly advice and support for parents with young children coming up to primary school entry at a special event in December.

The event is on Tuesday December 14 at Catford Library 23-24 Winslade Way London SE6 4JU from 9.00am  to 6.00pm.

It will offer advice from the Admissions, Family Information Service, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Free School Meals teams.

Over the past couple of years Lewisham has run popular events on transition to secondary schools, for parents of children in the last year of primary school.

Councillors say this has helped boost preferences for our secondary schools.

The council will promote the event through the school bulletin/enewsletter/staff newsletter/socials etc.

The event is free but ticketed – just so we can gauge numbers and busy periods. Details can be found here.
