February 12, 2025

Max Media Arts is looking to recruit a part-time, temporary Volunteer Coordinator for the Brockley max 2025 commuity arts festival.

This is a key post for the festival. It is a paid role and is suitable for someone with experience of managing volunteers.

Brockley Max is an exciting and inspiring nine-day community arts festival that is held in venues throughout Brockley, Crofton Park, Honor Oak and Ladywell.

Now in its 24th year, the festival provides an opportunity for the local creative community to display their talents, and for the wider community to participate in a wide range of arts activities.

Around 5,000 people came to last year’s Brockley Max festival, reflecting the area’s passion for the arts. Events and exhibitions were held at more than 40 local venues throughout the nine days of the Brockley Max.

The festival’s main events are the Opening Night, an evening of entertainment by local bands near Brockley station, and the ‘Max in the Park’ family day in Hilly Fields park which ends the festival.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Brockley Max, so the Volunteer Coordinator is an essential role.  You can find out more here: https://brockleymax.co.uk/jobs/

The role requires 25 days between May and the end of June 2025 including every day during the festival (30 May – 7 June). The fee paid is £150 per day on a freelance basis.

To apply please send a copy of your CV, monitoring form and covering email to moira@brockleymax.co.uk  by February 26 2025.  Informal interviews will be conducted on the March 11 2025.

The festival’s main events are the Opening Night, an evening of entertainment by local bands near Brockley station, and the ‘Max in the Park’ family day in Hilly Fields park which ends the festival.
