It’s all happening on Sunday July 23 when Food, Folk ‘n’ Fun in the Fields returns to Ladywell with live music, fun fair and community stalls

Let’s hope for lots of sunshine on Sunday July 23. Food, Folk ‘n’ Fun in the Fields is returning to Ladywell Fields, North Field on Sunday from 11am to 5 pm, with the kind support of estate agents Dexters, the Ladywell Group and Lewisham Council.

And this year, Lewisham Local have teamed up with Global Fusion Music & Arts and the Ladywell Society to bring you an even more exciting mix of attractions.

There’ll be a wide range of pop-up food, commercial, community and charity stalls, and a fun fair. There’ll be live performances, and a procession led by the Speaker of the Council, and featuring the Quaggy Morris Dancers, the fabled Jack in the Green, and a Chinese Lion and Dragon. On stage there’ll be the Quaggy Community Choir, UK Chinese Ensemble, Siddhiee Kapshikarr, Isobel Kimberley and Bantu Arts.

And as if thats not enough, children can enjoy free donkey rides, a free static falconry display, an urban bee keeping exhibit, and, all being well, a chance to view a vintage police car.

Always a favourite, the London Fire Brigade will also be calling by (barring unforeseen eventualities) to offer you a chance to get up close to one of their engines.

Our favourite competitions are also back, with the Children’s Themed Drawing Competition, and the Treasure Hunt, both with attractive rizes to be won!  Last but not least, why not try your luck in our raffle on the day, with some very attractive prizes donated by local businesses and residents?
