July 12 cemeteries open day cancelled over social distancing restrictions

by Tony July 10, 2020
July 10, 2020

This Sunday, July 12, would have been the Open Day event of the Friends of Brockley & Ladywell Cemeteries.  Because the restrictions on social-distancing were still quite draconian when a decision needed to be made, it was decided to cancel this year’s event.  Maintaining social-distancing under the present restrictions would still be difficult, particularly on the guided walks. However, the website, www.foblc.org.uk, is a treasure trove of information about residents of the Cemeteries, so why not have a look?  Also, three guides of “illustrious deceased” by Vice-Chair, Mike Guilfoyle, are available to buy.  We hope to update the website soon so that all three can be ordered separately, but they can still be ordered using the contact details on the website.
