Coming soon! The next Ladywell Assembly – your chance to have a say on what’s going on in your neighbourhood – will be on Thursday October 5 2023 from 7.00pm at the St Andrews Centre, Brockley Road, London SE$ 2SA.

Once again there are some important topics up for discussion.

There will be a  representative from Ladywell Police Safer Neighbourhood Team to update residents and take questions on what’s been happening in the ward.

Lewisham Town Centre improvements – Lewisham is investing £24m on improving and revitalising the town centre. the funding is made of £19m in Levelling Up funding from the Government, combined with £5m of additional match funding. The money will be spent on refurbishing Lewisham Library, rejuvenating Lewisham Market and improving the high street. This investment will help to boost the local economy. Lewisham Library will be renovated to create a new Culture and Business Hub. Lewisham will be transformed to support local traders, encourage visitors and create a welcoming space for the community to enjoy. The Grade II listed Clock Tower will be refurbished, new trees planted and green spaces will be created. Find out more at the assembly and ask questions.

Feedback from NCIL funded project – representatives from Ladywell Women’s Project & Young people from St Andrews Youth Club will report back to the assembly on their activities.

Lewisham 2030 Consultation – The council has launched a consultation on what the future of Lewisham should look like and identify the steps needed to achieve it. Events will be shared across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Lewisham 2030 events will also be listed in libraries and community spaces. “The ultimate goal is to craft the Lewisham 2030 Community Action Plan, set to launch in Spring 2024. This collaborative plan will embody the shared vision for Lewisham as a vibrant place to live, work, study, visit and invest in,” says the council.

Doors will open at 6.45pm for light refreshments, with the meeting kicking off at 7pm prompt.
