Plan your Platinum Jubilee celebrations now

Platinum Jubilee Pin Badge 25mm (1")

The Queen has become the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. To mark this unprecedented milestone, an extended four-day UK bank holiday weekend will take place from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June. We are encouraging residents to start planning their celebrations now. To help you mark this historic occasion, we are offering micro grants of up to £300 to help residents and local community or voluntary groups develop Jubilee events and activities. Applications are open now and the deadline to apply is 5pm, Sunday 3 April. Planning to throw a Jubilee street party? You will need to apply online for a free temporary road closure by Friday 22 April, to ensure requests are processed in time. Please visit our website for more information on hosting a Platinum Jubilee event or to apply for a grant.
